Our Sustainability Company Event in the Vogelsberg
Sustainability does not begin with big words, but with real action. Guided by this principle, we designed this year’s company event. At its core was a topic that affects us all: the protection of our local natural environment. And that is why our corporate services team – Accounting, HR, Office, and Administration – did not spend the day in a conference room, but laced up their boots, put on work gloves, and got to work.
A strong team – 12 women, 700 young trees, one day full of commitment
High up in the Vogelsberg region, on an area damaged by the impacts of climate change and pest infestation, twelve dedicated colleagues planted around 700 young trees. With heart, strength, and impressive endurance, they helped to revive an area that urgently needs new vegetation and stability.
What is often merely discussed or demonstrated was put into practice here:
A full day of work, sweat, team spirit—and a visible contribution to the future.
The motivation behind it: not just to talk about what sustainability means, but to truly make a difference.
Our motto: “We plant the future.”
And that is exactly what we did.
Why this project mattered so much to us
Sustainability begins here – right on our doorstep
Sustainability is not just about recycled paper or symbolic actions. It means balance, awareness, and responsibility.
It begins with the realization that our drinking water, our forests, and our living environment are not somewhere far away—but right here, at our doorstep.
We often donate to protect rainforests on the other side of the world.
At the same time, our own forests, wildlife, and groundwater are also in urgent need of protection.
Our water. Our soil. Our forests.
This is where our lives take shape.
And this is exactly where we need to look again.
Together with the Jagd- & Naturschule Hessen – for forests, water, and the future
Our event was accompanied and organized by the Jagd- & Naturschule Hessen, an initiative that describes itself as a “small sustainability school with a big mission”:
to bring nature and the economy back into balance.
Without a stable natural environment, there can be no resources, no economy, and no progress. And every company bears responsibility—not only economically, but also ecologically.
With every action, every project, and every decision, our responsibility grows.
We have progress, knowledge, and technology—and we should use all of it to strengthen our environment.
What we experienced and learned
During the planting activity, we were not only physically challenged—we also learned a great deal about the importance of forest conversion.
Why forest conversion is so important
- Climate protection: Mixed forests are more resilient to heat, drought, and storms.
- Drinking water protection: Deciduous trees filter and store water particularly effectively.
- Biodiversity: Structurally diverse mixed forests provide vital habitats for many animal species.
- Long-term stability: Monocultures of spruce or pine are highly susceptible to bark beetles and extreme weather conditions.
Why we must act – now
Damaged areas, such as those in the Vogelsberg, are visible signs of climate change.
What is needed are people, companies, and initiatives willing to take responsibility – not someday, but today.
Sustainability as a lived value
For us, this event was more than just a team-building day.
It was a visible sign that, as a company, we understand:
Only those who act today will secure the world of tomorrow.
Only those who protect nature also protect the economy, quality of life, and the future.
Our colleagues showed what is possible when team spirit meets purpose.
An experience that connects – team building with meaning
Community grows through shared experiences.
And a day in the forest, shovel in hand, soil under your fingers—few things connect people more deeply.
Our team did not just plant trees, but also:
future, awareness, and cohesion.
A thank-you to everyone involved
Our heartfelt thanks go to:
our administrative team for their exceptional commitment,
and to everyone who made this day possible.
You have shown that sustainability does not live on paper—
but in people who take action.
Sustainability begins here. Planting the future begins now.
