Your responsibilities

As a private cloud engineer in our private cloud team, you are among other things jointly responsible for the entire internal VM and container infrastructure of our company in our own data center as well as for the conception, implementation, deployment and monitoring of these platforms. You act as an internal service provider who, in cooperation with our DevOps and developer teams, have the responsibility for investigation, implementation and continuation of the internal private cloud offer.

The development of new infrastructure projects, the creation of technical concepts and system specifications complete your field of activity.

Your profile

You have a solid education in computer science and several years of experience in the administration of various operating systems. If you feel at home on the Linux shell, all the better.

Ubuntuserver, Windows server

Desirable is a good knowledge of working with the virtualization environments VMware vSphere and the Kubernetes-based container solution from VMware Tanzu (TKGi) + NSX-T. or you have mastered the basics of using Kubernetes.

You are open-minded and enjoy evaluating and establishing new tools and solutions for everything around VM and Kubernetes infrastructure, and also promoting the automation and monitoring of these environments.

Ansible, Terraform, Vault, YAML, Git, scripting, TIG-Stack, MinIO

You are also used to working independently and taking responsibility for your projects. Your quick comprehension, the ability to think abstractly and your analytical approach to a wide variety of problems are reflected in your daily work.

You have excellent communication skills in German, furthermore, a good understanding of English is desirable.

In addition, you convince with a friendly and open nature and you are a real team player.
