Generative AI: Imperfection That Changes the World
Björn Buchhold, Evangelist Data Science – CID
New projects, products, and companies are emerging daily, promising disruptive innovation with generative AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
But what ultimately determines success or failure? In this presentation, we will explore the fundamental workings of such applications and demonstrate how the technical implementation influences the outcome.
However, it is crucial to understand that generative AI is not perfect. Successful applications embrace this imperfection and leverage it to their advantage. In contrast, others make the mistake of viewing AI as a black box that should deliver perfect answers, striving in vain to optimize it to perfection.
Minimum Viable Data and Data Platforms
Artur König, BI or DIE
Minimum Viable Data (MVD) refers to “minimally useful data” that is sufficient to make informed decisions. Often, this data is not perfect, but it is useful in a given situation. The success of self-service BI clearly demonstrates this.
But how can we use MVD without causing data chaos? The answer lies in integrated platforms, which represent a logical evolution of Business Intelligence.
